the LIVING room

Yes we do have a living room without it being crammed full of toilets, insulation,tools, and other misc items. I have even just laid down in the middle of the room and just admired space. Now you can come into my house and not have to ask yourself - "Why do they have a dresser, toilet, and insulation in their living room?" Everything now has it's place in our house and I couldn't be more thankful!!!!!! AMEN!

To do yet...but just need to paint and get the floors laid and we will have a working bathroom upstairs. No fear we still have our bathroom on the first floor and in the basement to use!

Guest Room

Guest room, yes we have a guest room...so come and stay any time!!! My quilt doesn't quite fit the bed...so still brainstorming ideas for that:)
Love the ceiling fan and the vaulted ceiling? I do! We still have a little painting to do, but nothing I can't get done during nap time:)

Our room

I haven't hung anything on the walls...waiting for Casey to help me:) but the King sized bed is a must for anyone!

Kenner and Patton's room

Look we even have hanging clothes in a closet! It is the small things that a person is grateful for these days:)

Kitchen

The kitchen went from having a miter saw, sheets of drywall, two huge ladders, paint supplies, and many many dishes to this in 24 hours! Look at the white...trust me it wasn't white when we first began to clean it!

Dining Room

Look Christmas decorations! Yes I was able to get them out for the first time in two years! Woohoo!

Back Room UNFINISHED

Casey is on the drywall stilts! He did pretty well walking around the room, but he left Mike (our drywaller) to do the work:)



Yes that is Patton helping me prime the walls. I was wanting to do anything to get this back room done, so that our house could be normal for the FIRST TIME!!!

Love the carpet and the padding that clung to the floor. It took me 2 hours to clean the floors. They aren't perfect, but are perfect to me! We can move in! Thanks to s'aunt' Kendra or s'aunt'a Kendra for taking a day off of work and SUPER cleaning our house. Also thanks to my mom for taking the two boys so we were able to get our house put together and dust free!

Back Room FINISHED (except for trim!)

Happy One Month Patton!

It is amazing how much has happened in one month! At the end of this week, we will have a living room (which is the back of the house) for all the toys and a front room without clutter, which will be a first in this house! I have checked myself into the hospital two times (once for the birth of Patton and the second for a 2:00 am run to the emergency room due to mastitis). Only to discover that I too had a yeast infection in that same area, which caused Patton to have thrush! That was a great week. Needless to say, we are now on to liquid gold (Enfamil $30 at Sam's for the big jug of it). I would rather have 100 c-sections over getting mastitis again! We have lived in Hebron for a week, grandma Carlece has been the first to stay in our guest bedroom (and got up with Patton during the night...WooHoo for me!), and countless trips to Menards to get the finishing touches to our upstairs, upstairs bathroom/laundry room, and our living room.

All of us have healed/rested up (as much as we can) and are now on to stripping and refinishing all the woodwork that goes upstairs. We will be priming and painting the back room this week and we will be moved in to the back room by next weekend (now sleeping may not happen...but my sanity will be back!) Hopefully the dust of our remodeling will be settled for a while, so that we can enjoy the work of Casey and the help of others in our remodeled parts. So if you come over...just pretend to not notice the huge holes in the ceiling of our kitchen and downstairs bathroom:) and come see what we do have done!

We will be taking our one month pictures tomorrow (Monday) at the Svitak Portrait Studio...so stay tuned for more pictures.

The real Santa isn't as cool!

Kenner loves to play with his stuffed Santa, but when seeing the real Santa in person...he was a bit scared. Kenner will go to anyone, except people in costumes! Patton didn't mind though. Kenner got a fake tatoo on his hand and you would have thought he was getting a real one by the way he was looking at the kid who was putting it on his hand! We also discovered the new love of balloons! I guess the resemblance of it looking like a ball isn't too big of a surprise that he loves them!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was a lot of fun with our cousins from Utah here. It was a beautiful day out that we all got to play football outside! Gotta love having family around!

Here is our little peanut! I was able to get a few shots of Patton while Kenner was busy putting his shoes in the microwave. Poor Patton isn't going to have as many pictures as his big brother, because I can never have enough time to get the camera out before I get to chase his big brother:) Where is my big brother to hold me while my mom takes our picture for our family Christmas card? That is right...Kenner was jumping on the bed and running around with his head cut off. That is why you got a naughty or nice Christmas card. Kenner was not cooperating for Patton and mommy...but oh well!

We had a fun time in Hebron, while Casey was busy tearing out plaster/lathe, wiring, and working non-stop so we could come home. Kenner got to spend some time outside with his grandparents, while his mom and Patton were inside. As you can see, Kenner got a bit dirty...but he loved every minute of it!

Kenner the BIG helper

Kenner has been such a big helper this past month. He helped mom make pancakes, he brushes his own teeth (thanks grandpa for the toothbrushes), and picks up after himself...only to put them in a pile somewhere in the way:)

Frankly I am suprised that Patton is still alive with his big brother around. Kenner loves to sit on him, attempt to take him from your arms, kiss him, swing him in the swing and just lay around with him! He loves to talk to him with a high pitch voice and he has also learned the clicking sound with your tongue...because that is what mommy does to Patton. Enjoy!
