Fun in April

I am just trying to get these photos tagged with memories...so I don't forget them:) We have had some great times. Too great of times, because I am not able to document them. They just keep coming:) These are for you Annie and Rylan! We miss you terribly...but hopefully with seeing pictures often on here you will grow with us! Love you!
Big brother showing little brother how great cartoons are! All smiles for kenner's First Tball practice. He was in his best baseball gear too!

Kenner in action at his first tball practice. What a joy it is to watch him. Funny though...note what the BIG boy is wearing in the back. He had to make sure he wore his gray pants to the next practice. He didn't say that it was because the big boys had gray pants...but it was implied as they all had gray pants on.

What an awesome day! Easter egg hunt at my work and the ZOO with Daddy. The new penguins! AWESOME! it is a must for anyone that needs something to do in Lincoln

This is a picture of my World War II generals with a true American Hero - a tuskegee airman. I am not allowed to share his name on here...but ask me about it. TRUELY awesome experience to get to work with this man. WOW!

Easter Egg Hunt at The Ambassador!

We were able to go on a picnic with Kendra and Trevor as Daddy had Guard Drill. Patton even thought we need to bring a blanket for the picnic. Kendra had already thought of it.

Patton and Kenner had to use the bathroom while in the park. Unfortunately the park restrooms were under construction so there was a port-a-potty. GROSS. I can stand a lot of germs...BUT this was beyond disguisting. Disguisting over-ridded (grammar?) leaving the park. So Patton went #2 in it. Trevor got it all on camera and interviewed Patton post usage. Trevor asked, "How was it Patton?" Patton's response, "Not good." So funny, but true!

Kenna's first slide!

Random

hello blog world - We are still here...just trying to "clean out that closet" (see previous post). Here are some pics of the happenings in the crazy home. Mr. Ike at 3 months in his borrowed boppy (thanks Ivy for sharing). I am able to get so much more done with someone observing me. It also helps him with his trunk support. Thanks to Sarah (daycare) for starting him in here! Operation Egg Hunt with the Guard. We were finally able to make this event. It was fun and a great day outside!
Just a pic of my favorite little guys!
This is why I blog and do the scrapbooks...they LOVE reading books about them! I love hearing them from the other room recall the events in the book, because half the time they physically shouldn't remember the events.

Ike at his first park outing! Look who can swing on three bars!
Patton at the park. Another benefit of working in lincoln. Many different parks to go to after getting off of work (it is just the getting off of work part that I need to get adjusted!)
Making monkey bread...because that is what our pillsbury calendar recipe is for the month. I got the calendar for free and didn't think much about the recipes that are featured. But, of course, my oldest rule follower can't miss a beat and we have to make the recipe each month.
FINALLY a pic with Great grandma Jan. We always get photo ops with Grandpa Jimmy...but poor grandma Jan never is in them. Finally we got to take a pic at our favorite place to go with them... REd Robin!
Our GREAT friend Bob will be leaving for a year to go over seas to help farmers in the war countries...so I wanted to make sure to get a picture of all the boys with him to create for a gift later. We love Bob!
We also LOVE grandpa Jimmy. He stopped over on their way back from Minnesota. We are completely spoiled to be enroute from Minn or Lincoln and Hebron. We can never get enough of our Grandma Jimmy!

Stay or Go

So many times in my life I have not had any problem getting rid of material things in my life to give to others (aka City Mission, Good Will, etc). Today I had a huge realization. Even though I just took an entire van load of "things" to the City Mission, my life closet wasn't emptied at all. On January 11th, my life closet was given a great gift, Ike. My 3rd child. The transition has been good up until now. Last week was a hard week at work. I suddenly felt myself getting back into the "old" schedule and priorities - Work and then oh yeah I have a family to take care of. Did I like that feeling? NO! Has it bothered me a lot this week? Yep. So today I have stewed and stewed about how to clean out my life closet in order to make LOADS of room for my family and leave little room for work (of course enough to get a pay check). Let's take an inventory of my life closet. - Wife - Mother of 3 - Nursing little guy (btw didn't work with the others, so this is BRAND new) - Full time Therapy Manager/SLP at my current job - NEW SLP in the medical center, which involves learning, learning and more learning - Sister - Aunt (which I didn't even call my nephew on his bday last week! UGH!) - Friend - Pampered Chef consultant - Member of Zion Church - T-shirt Quilt maker - likes to sew - likes to scrapbook - blogger - Freezer Exchange coordinator - CEO of Laundry, housework, bills - Gardener - Couponer - Budgeter - Frugal person The list continues... As I thought and thought what can I purge from my closet, I began to write another version of the "if you give a mouse a cookie" book. If I stop couponing, I will freak out every time I go to the store and think I could be getting a better price. If I cont to coupon, I will have to go when the boys aren't with me, because I can't use my coupon book b/c Ike and the coupon book sit in the same place. This would require me to get off of work earlier...UGH the cycle continues. I am really not sure why I am writing this on my blog...but to just assist in my mental processing of seeing all the different things I do actually written down. For today, I have decided that couponing will be lessened, I will set a schedule at work and not work more than that, set a schedule up at home for housework, etc...so that I will be able to have time with my boys. I think I am begining to realize that I am not going to have my summer off, which makes me realize that I need to get my work under control so that I can still make the fun memories i have always made with the boys but with a work schedule too. It is possible...because everything is possible with God. So I better stop writing and start talking with Him...as he has the answers and not this silly blog!
