Too many irons in the fire?

With school starting next week I am feeling a bit of a crunch. Why you ask?

I sell Pampered Chef and trying to have atleast 2 shows a month possibly 3.

Garage Sale tomorrow and Saturday in Crete

Ploobing (Plastic Layers of Old Bags) needs to continue to be done (check later for a post on that)

2 boys that want and should need my attention all the time

2 years of Patton's scrapbook and 1 year of Kenner's that needs updating before they are ready to graduate

Garden...need I say more.

Watering my friend's yard while they are on vacation and checking their garden.

Normal things...paying bills, balancing checkbook, cleaning, laundry

Tshirt quilt for my friend Teri

Tshirt quilt for Casey for his first 5 years in the Guard

2-3 table runners that I got for Christmas that I have been dieing to do:)

Bake my hubby his favorite pies - Peaches and Cream

Hmmm anymore...oh yeah sleep:)

I wrote myself a to do list at the beginning of the summer and I have done quite well with doing things with the boys (which is #1) so I should feel accomplished...but as all mom's out there can relate, we always seem to put ourselves and our wants last. Therefore the reason for the long list...all the things I would like to do for myself.

I feel so much better getting an entire truck load full of things out of my house. I priced them all low so that I know they won't be coming back. If you know of anyone that has a baby boy...629 Linden in Crete is the place for them to be!!!! 25 to 50 cent clothes!

Scrapbooking 101

Enough cutting and pasting! I bought the newest version of Scrapbook Factory Deluxe, which this page of Patton at the movie took me 2 minutes (thanks to pre made templates!). I have about 150 pictures down stairs of Patton's first year that might just go in a photo album and I am going to scrapbook the rest of his life with this program. I might be turning my blogging days in to jpeg format of my pages...killing two birds with one stone 1) keeping up with the scrapbooks while having multiple multiple jobs 2) keeping everyone updated on my blog:)

Swimming Pool Fun

Going down to Hebron in the summer means:
Eat at 12:00 + Pay $4.00 ($2.00 a person) to swim + 4+nap time after we swim.

Here we are swimming. Bub and his serious swimming look
Kenner is making a pie
Bub and his swimming Nemo
Kenner and an action shot jumping in...note my mom's hand on the side he isn't brave enough to do it alone.
Bub sitting on the side. It wasn't until the last dayt that I showed him that you can walk up and down the stairs and still have fun in the big pool.
Kenner aka fish swimming all by himself! I love that life jacket and I love that he likes to wear it!
Action shot of Kenner throwing Nemo...look at that throw and point action going on...I see a baseball future:)
Action shot with Bub's favorite thing to do...throw the water!
Taking a walk down to the fountain. What a face Kenner?!?!

Putting our hands in the "river" It is a little area at the nursing home that residents can come out and enjoy a fountain.
Kenner's imagination has SOARED!!! This was a swing and he sat right up on it and asked me, "What I would like for dinner?" So cute!
We now have our own Rock Star Band...Kenner Svitak the lead singer
Patton Svitak at the lead drummer!

Pampered Chef National Convention

Ahh! Free like a bird!! I didn't have to attend to the crying babies and got to drink a pop without it spilling all over me! Thanks to my mom for taking the boys for 4 days so I could go to the PC convention! The Hershey's store was a lot of fun and they gave SAmples...YUM!

Here my friend Lisa, who I just met there from North Carolina, in the test kitchens of the Home Office...where all the magic takes place:)

Some of the crew that I went with - Me, My Director Deena Schultz, Lisa in the middle and Jennifer Rust who is also a Director.
One of the shows that they revealed the new fall products:) They really did have Disney like productions! It was awesome!

Here is the crew with a horrible picture at the Cheesecake Factory.
Becca...and idea for centerpieces, but only using lime and deleting the ugly brown flower:)
Cheryl Tatro, Me, Deena, and Jennifer at the Hilton in Downtown Chicago. They film a lot of films there.
Becca...you can go to Chicago for your save the dates...they have 7/11's there.
The Navy Pier was closed...but it was still beautiful there!

Babysitting and getting babysat

While I was in Chicago at the Pampered Chef National convention (read previous post), the boys got to spend time at Camp Kenner.
Here Bubbi puts his back into spraying the hose (I think he was pressing so hard on the nozzle that he needed to get more power by leaning back:)) Brotherly love!
More brotherly love at our house. Kenner was showing Bubbi how to put on his boots.

DONE! But Bubbi can't walk in them. NO they don't have paci's all the time...only when mom needs some quiet...but as of now the Svitak's don't own any more paci's.
Hmm...Where's Waldo or Kenner? Kenner thinks when Casey is gone that he needs to sleep with me. I'll admit sometimes it is nicer to have someone to sleep with...but not Kenner! Even the King Sized bed he HOGS!!
Babysitting Rylan at Aunt Kendra's house! Rylan is our new cousin...I guess not so new - 3-4 months.
Kenner and Rylan
Patton and Rylan
Another one of my wanna be photo opps with the boys playing in the rain at Kendra's house.

Lucky Dog Kenner 2000-2008

How a single family who did not have an indoor pet prior to 2000 could get so attached to such a great dog is out of my mind.

For some rare occurance, our great dog Lucky went to heaven on Thursday morning. I wish that I had pictures of Lucky, because I was just in Hebron the week before she died. I wanted to get pictures of the boys loving on her, but I thought...NEXT TIME?!?!

I have assurance that she is in Heaven, because she attended the pet blessing ceremony in Crosslake, Minnesota with my Grandparents a couple years ago. :)

Lucky's memories(in the words of my family):
From my Dad:
I probably don't deserve a great dog friend like Lucky (nor do we want another great dog friend like Lucky says Mom and I). It seems so stupid to be crying over a dumb dog but she was truly an integral part of our family. Mom and I were laughing yesterday over the memories of Caleb coming in on Christmas day doing the fist pounds in the air saying "YES, YES, YES" in gratitude for Santa's deliver of his #1 item on the list that year, a huskie. Then we were laughing about the time a few years later with Father Sheehy when Caleb made the connection that Lucky and the Bongo drums didn't come from Santa but from us.....Santa didn't really exist.

Lucky was a great companion being mom's follower at home following around with her throughout the house whatever she was doing. While she didn't always come home when she was supposed she never talked back which was nice. I guess she didn't answer her cell phone either but that isn't too much different than others we know! We can all enjoy the fond memories of Lucky for years to come from the jet ski rides to the puppies and trips to the psychologist.

From my Sister Annie:
After what we have been thru with a friend like Lucky it is crazy to realize how close you really get. But think about it. It is the best kind of friend you can have. She didn’t talk back, she spoke when you asked her too, she was happy as ever when you walked in the door (even if the last time you saw her you punished her for something she did), she warmed your feet without being grossed out, and the list goes on. She is always there for you when you needed her the most!

I laugh over the time about Christmas as well and remember the ride home with Lucky on my lap. She was awesome! Then I also remember the comment Caleb gave a few weeks after Christmas how next year he was going to ask for a Pony.

I talked to Jeremy last night and like with anything it just takes time to heal. Yes, it is like loosing a great friend and part of the family. Don’t feel like you are sad because it is a dog. People without animals don’t understand but people that do… understand and most of them have dealt with the same sad deal before.

Enjoy the memories… she will never be forgotten! Better get back to work. It’s real fun crying when I hardly know the people I work with… they are all looking at me like I am some nut job!

From Me:
I will never forget going to see her for the first time at her secret Santa location at grandma and grandpa's house. I remember not sleeping on Christmas Eve in anticipation of Caleb's reaction...which was one for the memory books!

I will always miss her welcome home bark as I walked up the driveway after coming home from college or just home for the weekend. I won't ever forget looking for her in the river and trying to lure her into my car, which ended up with a muddy mess.

Last Saturday I had been at Mom and Dad's house for 20 minutes and let Lucky out on her leash, when Dad came home. Lucky howled and howled at Dad to let her back in. Dad ran inside dropped his bags and frantically said, "I gotta get Lucky, she is so hot she has been out there for ever." I replied, "I hate to break it to you...I just put her out there. She just wants your attention." Dad said, "I guess she knows who she can fool and who is in charge around here!"

I will never forget her scratching at the carpet to make the non-plush carpet even softer. Mom and Dad might have to invest in a better garbage disposal, because they won't have someone to clean up after dinner.

Lastly, Lucky was a great dog and loved by all, except one little boy, Kenner. The last memory of I have of the boys and Lucky is, "Kennu up Wucky, kennu up." (translated Kennel Up Lucky, Kennel Up)

We love you Lucky...have fun with Tipsy!

David's Bridal/Windex Commercial

To any of you that have been to a David's Bridal know that the dressing area is ALL mirrors.

Kenner, Patton and I joined my mom and sister, Becca, there last night to start to find THE dress for Becca to wear in a year from yesterday.

Kenner and Patton had a blast with the little circle steps. About one dress into the time we were there, Kenner was about 4 feet away from a dressing room aka mirror when he said, "Bubbi" (in the tone of Hey Bubbi wait for me!) and then BOOM! Just like a windex commercial.

Poor Kenner didn't have anyone to receive sympathy from because the store was silent with belly laughing. My mom, Becca and myself (which I was flat on the ground) were all LAUGHING! It couldn't have been written for a better Windex Commercial.

I have never seen Kenner's face SO RED. Sorry no pictures, because by the time I was finished laughing I needed to give Kenner a hug and not reinact it.

We went out to eat with the crew plus Casey and then went home. On the way home, Kenner was really really wanting Grandma. I asked him if he wanted to stay with Grandma and he said, "I can! Only one kid mom. That's me! Just one kid mom." I said, "No Bubbi." He replied, "One kid mom, that's me!" So needless to say, I am waiting for Bubbi to wake up so we can go pick up Kenner at who is with Grandma.

purse mania

Here is the newest creation from a SINGLE T-shirt!
Here the bag lies...
Here the bag hangs... My fav on the floor my fav on the chair

Tell me what you think?

MOVIE time

Thanks to a sponsored event, the boys and I can all go to the movie for 5.00 TOTAL which includes two bags of popcorn!!
The movie was Horton Hears a Who. If you haven't seen it, it is very good.

We were able to go with my friend Heather and Kenner and Patton's friend Lane (her son). We along with 1,000 other people thought of the same idea yesterday. They sold out two theaters and graciously opened another theater up for a 12:00 o'clock showing.

What to do between 10:30 and 12:00? Everyone else thought about going to the Children's Museum...so we weren't going there. Instead we decided to roam the University. It was fun and the boys found buried treasures (aka drainage systems) and were able to extend their arms long enough to reach the trees (or wave sticks around).

Time to go to the movie boys!
Movie time - Heather went to get the popcorn.

and pop. Water was more than the pop...oh well it isn't everyday that you only pay 2.50 to get into the movie!
Yes Bubbi ate and drank a whole thing of pop and popcorn...the diapers were fun last night!
THanks for going Heather and Lane. Kung Fu Panda is in a couple weeks. Click here to find out about this cool event!

No not remodeling again...it is just

an entire bottle of POWDER!!!

While on the phone with my Aunt Jane, I over heard the two generals in the back room saying something about a bottle...but I didn't think much of it.

After a couple minutes on the phone (note I said COUPLE MINUTES = 2 or 3 minutes) I decided to see what was going on. I entered my kitchen and noticed a cloud of white dust. It was similar to drywall sanding dust, which almost sent me over the edge because we have lived that mess and it wasn't too fun.

I proceeded to find this....(pics are self explanatory except that yes that is Kenner SLIDING through the powder like it is snow!)

Note the dust in the air. I couldn't be in there until it settled, because it was hard to breathe. Poor toys!
Kenner sliding and doing snow/powder angels. I guess it is Christmas in July in our house.

To make matters even worse, I made spaghetti for supper. A DEFINITE BATH NIGHT! Here is the instigator of the entire thing. How did I know that he was the one doing it....
you hair looks like a fawn's back by throwing the powder out of the container.
After seeing Bubbi's hair I was laughing, but after trying to clean up powder for 1 1/2 days off everything...it might not be so funny!
Note to self: if a child does decide to use an entire bottle of powder, try cleaning up the powder first with water then with a vaccuum. A vaccuum doesn't really do anything except create more of a mess!
The boys had an 1 hour bath because it gave me time to clean up the supper, Rice Krispies, and powder. While I was busy, they poured out all the bubble baths I had for "looks" in my bathroom. So my house smelled eucalyptus/powder fresh.
