Life without dad:(

For those of you that don't know, Casey has been gone since 9/9 and boy do we miss him. In the time that he has been gone, we have had a few highs and lows.

- Mommy got to stay home with one sick boy one day, two sick boys the next day, and 2 sick boys and one sick Mommy for the next two days.
- Once the boys recovered, they went home to Hebron for a day so Mommy could go back to work. I joined them in Hebron on Friday night. We hung out at Great Gpa and Gma's house with Aunt Annie on Friday night. Mommy got her hair cut on Saturday (a nice time away from my little guys). Watched NE get stomped by USC in the comfort of the Kenner household. Mommy hosted a Pampered Chef Bridal shower for Jeri (Cory's fiance). Then we (the boys and I) went dressed in our swimming bests to the Annual September Birthday Bash...which was "backwards" themed. I will need to get my dad's address of pictures so that you can see!!! It was hillarious!
- We left on Monday morning from Hebron, went to work/day care, then came home on Monday night. While I unloaded the car, Kenner decided to put his new markers to use by pounding them as hard as he could on a piece of paper (no mommy wasn't really paying attention as I was unloading the car and just happy that he was staying on the porch. While Patton and I were playing peek-a-boo through the glass door (which kept him occupied while unloaded, but protected from brother). Once I finished my last load from the car to the porch, I discovered the mess created by my little Van Gogh, so I immediately grabbed him before he painted my house and headed for the bathroom to clean him up. I also assumed that Bubba wouild follow us. After wrestling with a very unhappy Van Gogh, I went to check on Patton. NO WHERE TO BE FOUND, but all I could hear was a faint screaming cry. My heart sank as I saw that the basement door was open! UGH!! Then I look outside and Patton had NOT fallen down our basement stairs, but on our 5 concrete stairs off our porch. Thank goodness for little sisters. I called Aunt Becca in a complete panic and she helped calm me. Then I called my "God-sent" of neighbors, Bob and Marilyn. Marilyn came over and helped mainly calm me down. I thought about taking pictures, but I didn't want people to really see how bad it was and think differently of me as a mother. It was difficult enough to give him a million and half kisses then to see it over and over again with pictures. :(
- Nurse Grandma Judy just happened to be coming over, so she also helped calm me and knew exactly what to do and what to say to help me feel better! I don't think I could have made it through the night without the loving support from my family and friends. As I write this a week later, Patton just has a few scrapes left on his head and a little one on his nose. PRAISE GOD that he didn't get more hurt!!!

After the accident on Monday, we decided to do a grocery run on Tuesday with Aunt Becca. Thank goodness for Crocs!! It was a down-pour when we decided to go...so with my trusty Crocs I had no trouble with wet shoes or tramping through the rain!

Wednesday we decided to just play it safe and stay at home. Mommy and crew just cuddled all night and wished that Daddy was here to play with us.

Thursday night my babysitter graciously agreed to keep the boys for a little bit longer, so that I could attempt to get caught up at school. It was so nice to have an extra 45 minutes at school and know that they were in safe hands with Kris! I brought out pizza and we had a good ole time just sitting back and chatting with Kris and her husband Brian! Thanks again Kris! When I came home, I parked in the garage and found that our neighbor harvested our honey for us. This meant that not only was there honey in our garage...but some left over bees as well. I knew they were around the door (as that was the only light they could attempt to follow), but I didn't predict that one would have his stinger ready for me to grab the handle and get stung. Yup! I got stung between my pointer and middle finger. Boy did it hurt!!!!

Friday I woke up to a red and swollen hand. I didn't think much of it, until multiple teachers made the comment that my hand looked rather red. Well it didn't get much better and I came home afterschool only to get ready for Pampered Chef Show at a friend's house. I wasn't feeling up to it and I think that God new I didn't need to do a PC show, because I had a message that said that everyone had canceled on my friend. Thanks GOD! We had a great night at home, but my hand was really hurting and turning into quite the club. I didn't have anyone to take the boys on Friday so that I could go get my sting checked out. So Marilyn came the rescue again on Saturday and watched the boys while I went to get my sting checked out.

The dr gave me a type of steroid and told me to take bendryl...needless to say I am a crazy tired woman with a much better thinner hand that I can actually move!!

Well now that I have written a book...I might need to get some sleep. We ended the week with a great weekend! The Church across the street had a parade (which I missed while going to the dr) and an auction on Saturday. Great Gma and Gpa took us out to a local dairy queen for supper, went to bed at 8:00 (all of us). Becca graciously took Kenner to the Omaha Zoo today, so that Patton and I could hang out, get my flat tire fixed and get our computer fixed. Yes that is why I haven't been blogging much or putting pictures, because our computer had a trojan virus on it and I don't want to download any pictures on our old machine!

Technology and how much rely on it! Signing off and sorry for the mass blog tonight!
Love you all!! I am so excited that I have reached 200 people checking out my site!!! This puts more stress on me updating!! I will try to be better when Casey returns in 06 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
