SNOW much fun!

Snow snow snow!  We took pictures the day before in the yard without coats and grilled out.  This day it snowed snowed and snowed.
Ike was SO SO SO sad that he couldn't go outside, because I didn't have any snow things for him.
So I just put his coat on and put on big socks over his jammies...he was the happiest little boy in the world!

 Digging a ole friend out!

Lunch with Kenner and Ike's real birthday party

One morning, I found out that I didn't have daycare as we were on the way out the door...so I turned a sour day into a great one.  We got to eat lunch at Kenner's school and it was chili day!  Note to self...don't go to eat with Kenner while you have Ike.
Fun times at Ike's party with Grandma Jim, Grandpa Pat, mom, ike, and Grandama Jan  It was beautiful outside, but it was snowing only 45 minutes away.
Grandma Jackie, Grandma Carlece, Cheeseball Ike, and Mom
 Look at the Cheeseball!
Grandpa Dennis, Grandma Kelly, ike, and Daddy
His party was a baseball theme with a "concession" stand for the cake.  I took a bunch of pictures, but they are on Grandma Kelly's good camera.  To be posted in the future.

Happy Birthday Ike

It was a combination of getting a checkerboard cake kit from my grandma Jan and Ike's birthday.  Instead of cupcakes at Daycare, Ike got to take a baseball cake.  Thanks to Sarah for taking the pictures!  What a cheese ball

 More sequence w/ Kenner
 Fun with Grandma and Grandpa!
Kenner the Cook with Grandma Kelly!
Christmas at Grandma Kelly and Grandpa Dennis' house
Playdough from Aunt Lucy.  Hey Lucy when are you coming to our house to play w/ them again?
So so grateful for our family and for the birth of Jesus!  So blessed!

Christmas

Fun Times with the Svitak's in December.

ike didn't really care about the presents...instead he liked the bag of kleenex's

November

This is a picture of a huge hotel in San Diego.  I can't remember the name...but I just liked taking fun pictures.
Happy 5th Birthday Patton...at Red Robin, of course.
Rhi in San Diego at the San Diego Public Park.  It was the Grinch Stole Christmas Tree...gotta love Dr. Seuss!
My buddy in the bathtub. He loves the bathtub, but just a little water.
Daddy and his friend finishing up the roof before the storm comes.  This was the last picture taken with the old camera.  I realized just now why I don't have many pictures...the old camera only took 2 pictures per 4 batteries.  So frustrating!  I am so thankful that I bought the extended warranty at Best Buy.  I took it in and they gave me a new camera!  Woot woot!

October

October was extremely bitter sweet.  We lost a great grandpa, but got to share some new memories and freshed family ties with all the love shared in the grief over a quick loss of our grandpa.  I have always had a special relationship with my grandparents, but many times you take them for granted.  I didn't get to spend a lot of time with my Grandpa Roger.  It is the little things in life that you miss the most.  I miss hearing his laugh at my brother.  I miss hearing new stories of Grandpa driving slow.  Life does go on and I am so proud of my grandma for all that she has accomplished.  I have NO idea what it is like to lose your best friend of 50+ years, but I do know the experience of  having an empty house and getting used to all the little noises that you take for granted when you shield and trust is next to you in bed or beside you to care for you.  I am so proud of all that she has done.  Love you Grandma Jackie!

October

Some tidbits from late September to October.  I think this picture is my view of what "after school" looks like.  Kenner was so excited about school each and every day.

Flowers from Casey.  They were suppose to come around my birthday (in August), but they came the week before Casey came home.  It is always fun to have flowers delivered to work:)
Someone really enjoyed spaghetti!  Gotta love the spaghetti face
Not sure why I took this picture, but i think it was my attempt to take a picture of what my life is like after school.  any ideas?
 Happy Happy Birthday Aunt Lucy!

Fall festival

This is crazy that I am just posting about the Fall Festival in September, but I realized that this was the time that Casey was gone.  I made the boys' capes the night before.  I had great ideas on what we were going to do...in fact I think I was going to make an ice cream costume for Ike and have the boys be DJ's and be dancing to Ice Ice Baby. As you can see, idea #1 didn't come to fruition.  Instead we had Super Svitak boys on bikes.  I always feel the need to participate in the parade, as it is in our front yard.  Fun times!
Ike didn't participate, but instead had fun in the bounce house.

Yikes!

It wasn't until I felt the need to update my blog with real pictures from my camera that I realized that I haven't put a real picture on my blog since September.  Sorry folks who have wasted their time in checking my blog since then.  Stay tuned for fun pictures of the last 6 months!

Running the dishwasher

The week between Christmas and new years was a week that we haven't had for a while. We didn't eat one meal at home, not a piece of clothing was washed or if it had been then it wasn't folded nor taken out of the suitcase from the trip prior. I had two boys going to daycare while dropping another off at the YMCA and working a crazy 34 hrs in 3 and a half days. If u know me, you would know that I like routine and schedules....it was crazy. It was only to be followed by another marathon weekend of more family Christmas celebrations. I was so overwhelmed by everything I couldn't get my typical giddy self ready for making great memories w my family.

It is weeks like this one that a person is reminded of the simple things that make me feel like I served my family well. Like the sound of a running dishwasher. This sound means I have a counter clean of dishes. It means I have dirty dishes in which my family I spent getting dirty together, listening to stories of what transpired that day. I was able to be organized enough to cook a meal for my family. Lastly, I know my day the next day will start off just as good as it ended because I have a clean sink to get dirty again. It is crazy how something like the sound of a dishwasher can bring a person a sense of accomplishment. What is your sound?

I will be listening for a new sound tomorrow. Will you? I have found if I listen for sounds then that time isn't spent complaining about the chores involved in the sound I am missing. How is this for deep thoughts? I love having my blog at my fingertips.

Ike is walking

Ike decided today was the day to take across the room on just two legs. Everytime he did it he was sneaky about it and I wasn't able to get the camera out. He is so proud of himself and walks like a pro versus a little boy who just started walking. Tomorrows post will be....Ike is running.

Imomma is back

I cant be more excited about the latest addition to our family.... The I pad. I have never had such good listeners, boys who do things on the first time asking, and quiet time when I really needed it ( when I want Ike to sleep really long). It has been a lot of fun. It almost wants me to cancel our cable as we don't need as many electronics that we have in our family. The debate is still debatable

DDP and blog aborted until further notice

Life was really easy to manage with my beloved Ipod.  Well it has been lost since round 3 of the flu in our home.  I wish wish wish everyday to find it in the stupidest spot...but that spot has not been found.  Until I find it, this blog will be used minimally:(

Until the Ipod is found....

DPP 9

Maybe this is a sign of one too many samples at sam's or just some great creativity ....I came downstairs to the sample man. I had this wood shelf ready to go to city mission because it wasn't serving a purpose in our house, but I guess Patton just gave it a purpose. I love this kid....somedays more than others. Only Annie can understand that one. Haha

DPP 8

This pic was delayed by momma getting sick herself. After returning to the kitchen after getting sick the first time I found this....Ike helping himself to the yogurt that was left on the table. It isn't easy being sick at suppertime and having 3 starving kids by yourself.

DPP 6

So much for stating my theme.... Today was a crazy but productive day. Good thing I took this picture this weekend. I was pretty excited that a pre-pinterest world I wanted to make a tree skirt that has the boy's handprints each year we put up the tree. Ike's hand print was a bit difficult but got the job done.
