Kenner the BIG helper

Kenner has been such a big helper this past month. He helped mom make pancakes, he brushes his own teeth (thanks grandpa for the toothbrushes), and picks up after himself...only to put them in a pile somewhere in the way:)

jut me and my big brother!

Frankly I am suprised that Patton is still alive with his big brother around. Kenner loves to sit on him, attempt to take him from your arms, kiss him, swing him in the swing and just lay around with him! He loves to talk to him with a high pitch voice and he has also learned the clicking sound with your tongue...because that is what mommy does to Patton. Enjoy!

This is my grandpa Pat! I was named after the General Patton, but is also handy that we have similar names!

This is my uncle Curtis and to be aunt Amy! I would make a great ring bearer next summer guys...what do you think? Just kidding!

This is my uncle Jeremy and my Aunt Annie. They have been coming around to help my mom out this week in Hebron. Thanks guys! It is fun to get to see you more often!

Pictures of me (the general) and the rest of the fam

This is my grandpa Dennis Elge, which is where my middle name came from.
Thia is my aunt Lucy Elge. Isn't she so pretty?

Here are my two aunts, Andrea Richardson and Rebecca Kenner...note the buttons: Proud grandma and grandpa! They are competing for the favorite aunt award...but still need to finish the competition before I can decide.

My aunt Ashley and grandma Judy! They were the first ones to get to see me and boy was I excited to see them. I have heard really fun things about them! Love you!

Coming home...sort of!

Well we did leave the hospital and we did report that we were returning home. The catch was that they didn't ask us when we would be returning home. After Casey packed up the car, we were off to Aurora to pick up Kenner. We had a short stay there (lunch and cuddle time for all), then off to York to meet my grandpa Jim. He and Casey switched vehicles (one traveling to Sprague and one traveling to Hebron). The car traveling to Sprague had only one person in it...that being the Do it Yourself in One week guy, Casey.* The other car was loaded with two little and two big people. Kenner, Patton and I are in Hebron having a fun time. Kenner is getting into every little drawer possible, Patton is eating up a storm (but still not gaining much weigh, much to his mother's dismay!) and I am attempting to not pick up Kenner, watching HGTV 24 hours/day, and trying to heal from the c-section. The meds are a nice thing every four hours, but nothing heals a sore tummy except a homemade apricot pie from my grandma Jackie! Yum!!! She said she was going to get my flowers, but thought that a pie was a better idea. Good thinking grandma!

*If you are confused - yes the plan was to be in our house by the time #2 came around. Well Casey thought that while he was home and everyone was out of the house while I was at the hospital, he would just take the plaster and lathe out of the room we were sleeping in (Before the move upstairs). He needed to do this in the near future anyway, due to the plumbing that needed to come through the walls for the bathroom upstairs to be functional. Report from 11/16/06 - The drywaller will be there tomorrow to put up the drywall, my grandpa Jim and Casey have removed the plaster and lathe, insulated, wired, and repaired the support beams above a window this week. He is truly an amazing guy...who has probably slept as much as I have with two little guys around! The new windows are ordered and will be put in next week. Hopefully we will be moved back in by next Monday or Tuesday!

Welcome to the world - Patton Elge Svitak

Hello everyone! My name is Patton Elge Svitak. I was born on November 10, 2006 at 1:07 weighing in at 7 pounds 9 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. I have a lot of brown hair and my initial nickname was "Fuzz." My great grandpa Jimmy told my parents that I should be named "The general" because everyone was referring to me as Mister. It wasn't so confusing to me, but it was to my big brother. Everyone calls him Mister...so for the record - my name is "The general" and my big brother's name is "Mister." He is a great guy, my big bro, that is! He likes to pet me like a dog. I can't wait to grow up so that we can play together. I am getting hungry..."Mom! Where are you?"
signing out - The General

the morning of...

Thank you to Aunt Kendra and "Aunt" Jane (my aunt's roomie) we were able to stay at their house, while the floor sanders were at our house making our floors beautiful! We got some pics of mommy and me before there were mommy and us! It was a bit nerve racking going to the hospital, but it was all good nerves. Here are some pictures of mister and mommy getting ready.

Extreme Makeover Home Edition - Painting only

While the EMHE crew was in Lincoln this week redoing an entire 500, 000 dollar house, dad, Annie, Casey, Craig, Becca, and Mike were painting: 3 bedrooms, 3 closets, the hallway, stairwell, living room, and dining room. Which each room needed primed, and two coats of paint. Talk about massive painters! I just kept moving away from the rooms (due to fumes) and kept the food coming (more for myself than them!) Thanks again for all your help!!

We are almost finished! A hardwood floor repair guy is suppose to be coming tonight to give us the low down on repairing the floor in two rooms and the sanders/refinishers will be here 11/7. Everyone will be moving things upstairs while I am at the hospital with #2:) Thanks again for everyone helping out...

*Yes Kenner did help me take the wallpaper down. if you don't want your wallpaper removed while he is around, don't give him a wet washcloth, spatula and free reign to the wallpaper!

look paint! and no shaggy carpet!

oops picture for the look DRYWALL

Look DRYWALL

Look drywall from sitting at the bottom of the stairs!!! It is the simple things in life, like drywall, that keep a prego lady happy and an extremely busy husband motivated to keep working.

One Month and counting

Hello everyone - It is official that we have less than one month until baby #2 comes into the world and poor Casey has been working his rear end off in order to get us into the upstairs before then (as we don't have room for two pack-n-plays in our make shift bedroom).
The pictures in this section show how we no longer have a chimney in our house (which meant knocking out the chimney that went through the kitchen...Kenner will have fun with this) so that Casey can run the plumbing for our bathroom and our central vac plumbing down to the basement. The other picture is of the bricks that were taken out last night from the part of the chimney in the kitchen. Casey did the demo and I moved the bricks...yes all of them and 8.5 months pregnant. That is why I am being a lazy bumm today and can't move my right leg due to a fun little pain. I will be good...because I have a student teacher who will be my sub...but she won't be able to graduate unless she finishes her student teaching (her last day is Halloween). I at least have to make it that long. If everything goes as planned, 11/10 will be the big day. Have a great week!

My first trip to the zoo

I had a great time at the zoo with my friends from Central City, the Broman Bunch. I didn't like the petting zoo with the goats...they scared me too much!

Random pictures of Mister:)

These are pictures of Kenner from July til now...just hanging out at home with his new car.

Momma's first craft fair

Well my first time venturing out selling our honey and a couple things I made wasn't much of a success, but a good experience. I will be doing the Hebron Craft Fair and hopefully we will be more successful. Thanks to Aunt Jane for her tips!

Reminders for Aunt Becca as she ventures on into the real world!

Make sure to take time to have fun...especially riding the horses.

Don't forget to brush your teeth

Take a relaxing bath (don't forget the light up ducks!)

Get a good night's sleep.

I'm a BIG helper...

with my dad in his garage

with my mom and helping her sew. The thread is really fun to unravel.

I have to make sure to wear my safety goggles when helping my dad with drywall!
