Mizzou vs NU trip

It was a great weekend for Casey to get away. This was the first week of October. We went down with Bob and Marilyn to meet their son, Morgan. Morgan is currently in his last month of training for the Air Force. It was fun to meet him up in Columbia. It was a great weekend, except for the horrible lost that keeps on coming! It was an experience to say the least!
Here is a picture of the big M at the end zone. As you can see, the yellow on the other side of the stadium is entirely made up of students!!!! It was unreal the student section!
Casey, myself, Bob, Marilyn and Morgan.
The ROTC guys and the mascot do a push up for every point they score. Needless to say, the mascot was wore out by the time the game was finished. They barely had a rest before they had to do it again...go NU defense!
We were part of a record setting crowd at the MU stadium...one good thing of the night.

Sept Pictures...done finally

I was able to blog with pictures of Sept. Now only one month behind :)
These are pictures of Kenner helping daddy mix cement for the drain tiles in our yard. Casey has been working really hard on getting the drain tiles, and putting 5+ dump trucks full of dirt to fill in the side of our yard. Now we don't have an enormous "snake" ditch, but instead a side yard full of mud:) FUn times!

Listen Bobbi - this is how this works. You stick them in the center between the refridge door and the freezer...so when Mommy is in a hurry she opens up the freezer and they all fall in. It is so funny!
Hmm Bobbi thinks...all I want to do is sing with the fridge phonics guy!
I am the innocent one here....
He is the crazy one now!
Daddy is BACK from NY!!! Boy did we miss him!

Kenner got to go to the Iowa State NU game. Good thing we won! Kenner got to go two years ago...so this is his game:)

Votes for Patton's 1 year quilt

Hello everyone - I am in the process of getting Patton's one year quilt done. Unfortunately I wasn't as good as I was with Kenner with taking a picture every month of Patton's life. A couple months...I had to stretch for A picture:) Could you help me choose which picture to put in his quilt. Keep in mind that these pictures will be cropped so that PAtton is the main focus in all these pictures. Do I put a picture with his brother in it? I want this to be Patton's quilt...but his brother is a big part!! If you need a visual of what I am doing...I think I posted about Kenner's last July or June:) Well thanks for helping me decide.

ugh

I tried times three to post pictures tonight...I am headed to bed. Aunt Becca and Mike came over tonight for supper. My house is clean, my husband fixed my dryer - AMEN!! it has been broken since July! and the boys and I had a fabulous day!

Thank you to everyone who helped me watch the boys this weekend. Thanks to the babysitter subs on Thursday and Friday, and thanks to the marriage relief workers who watched the boys while Casey and I went to the NU football game with Gma and Gpa! I really really really appreciate it!

Love you all!

tried and tired

Hey all - I finally am on my "old" new computer and can get pictures on the WEB!!!! I tried and tried to get through the whole month of September...but my eyes are wacking out on me, so I have got to get to bed!

I hope you enjoy these and now that I have my computer Iwill be more regular with postings. The boys went to Hebron tonight with my mom. I know you are thinking...do you ever see your children?

I have a wonderful mother and a babysitter that has taken days off and now is on vacation. With Parent Teacher conferences this week...there is really no other choice.

Love you all and I will blog more on Sunday:)

Just Hanging out with Mom

Here are some fun pictures of the boys just playing together. I love it that Kenner is such a great big brother. AFter we played a bit in the car, I got Patton out. Oops! Patton's socks were all worn around the toes. Good thing I put on the expensive, thick Gymboree socks or Patton would have had really hurt toes!
Our great neighbors, the Glenn's, brought us over some dessert. It was so nice and refreshing to have something that I didn't have to get or make. Anything when Casey is gone that is extra is just a blessing!
MEssy boy!
Isn't he adorable? I think so!

Fall Festival at the Church across the street

Not many people can say that they have a parade in their front yard every year. Well we do! It is always so much fun. This year wasn't as much fun for mommy for two big reasons: Daddy wasn't here to enjoy it with us and Mommy had to go into Linc Care to get drugs for her "club" of a hand that got stung by a bee. I found out that I am allergic to bee stings...who would have imagined that one with a husband as a bee keeper! A HUGE THANK YOU to my great friend Marilyn and her sister Mary who helped watch the boys while I went in and got it looked at:) Here are some pictures of the boys enjoying the carnival:) Funny story about Patton's outfit: Kenner wore this outfit to the Fall Festival 2 years ago. Can't do the math? I will do it for you:
Kenner would have been 3 months
Patton is 10 months
Boy are two different boys!

September Birthday Bash - Backwards style

the annual September Birthday bash was themed "Backwards". The boys and I went as if we were going to a swim party. We wore our swim gear and everything backwards and inside out! It was a blast! Note we even wore the little swimmer on the outside (no Kenner is not potty trained...so there is a diaper on under his shorts).
Speaking of potty training...mister decided to put his own diaper on and this is when he needed help! Crazy boy!

Patton eating the real thing at Great Grandma's house

So Grandma and Grandpa took Kenner to the football game and Patton and I got to hang at Jim and Jan's house. We ate a great meal (of course) from Grandma Jan. Can you tell who really loved it?
Are you watching me Mommy? YUM YUM! I want more!
...on my head!
All that play time at supper has caused me to be quite sleepy!
Just relaxing with my mom! It is amazing how cuddly my mom is when she doesn't have to be chasing my big brother!

Go Titans!

The boys stayed in Hebron in Sept and I came down to Fairbury to meet Jim and Jan and Annie for supper at Pizza Hut and volleyball game afterwards. WE love Great Grandpa, Annie, Grandma Carlece and Jasa!

NU Boo Hoo!

Sorry I can't seem to keep my promises lately with getting pictures up! Our 2nd computer has internet, but no place for my memory card. Our 1st computer doesn't have internet but a place for my memory card...problems!

Anyway, Casey and I got to go to Missouri this weekend with our friends Bob and Marilyn. We went down to see their son, Morgan, who is in the Air Force in southern Missouri. We thought we would also see the Huskers play Mizzou. We did see Missou...but NU failed to show up on Saturday...so we are still wondering if we went to the right place!!

We did make the Columbia Tribune though! http://www.showmenews.com/ Click on Slide Show at Nebraska. We are in the background in the picture 3, 8...obviously Casey and I looking quite disappointed!!

It was a great weekend and the boys had fun with Grandma and Grandpa Kenner in Hebron! Thanks Mom and Dad!!!

Well I better get to showering and getting back to reality...as we got home at 11:00 last night. I am not promising pictures, but hoping as much as you!

Ahhh!

Daddy is finally home!!!! I will promise to get pictures up tonight. Daddy brought me home a digital photo frame, so I have been playing around with that. For all those single parent mom's out there...I am not sure how you do it! God BLESS YOU!!

WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A COUSIN!

I forgot to mention that Aunt Annie and Uncle Jeremy are expecting a baby in early APRIL!!! YEAH!! Mommy finally gets to be an Aunt!!

Love you guys!

Life without dad:(

For those of you that don't know, Casey has been gone since 9/9 and boy do we miss him. In the time that he has been gone, we have had a few highs and lows.

- Mommy got to stay home with one sick boy one day, two sick boys the next day, and 2 sick boys and one sick Mommy for the next two days.
- Once the boys recovered, they went home to Hebron for a day so Mommy could go back to work. I joined them in Hebron on Friday night. We hung out at Great Gpa and Gma's house with Aunt Annie on Friday night. Mommy got her hair cut on Saturday (a nice time away from my little guys). Watched NE get stomped by USC in the comfort of the Kenner household. Mommy hosted a Pampered Chef Bridal shower for Jeri (Cory's fiance). Then we (the boys and I) went dressed in our swimming bests to the Annual September Birthday Bash...which was "backwards" themed. I will need to get my dad's address of pictures so that you can see!!! It was hillarious!
- We left on Monday morning from Hebron, went to work/day care, then came home on Monday night. While I unloaded the car, Kenner decided to put his new markers to use by pounding them as hard as he could on a piece of paper (no mommy wasn't really paying attention as I was unloading the car and just happy that he was staying on the porch. While Patton and I were playing peek-a-boo through the glass door (which kept him occupied while unloaded, but protected from brother). Once I finished my last load from the car to the porch, I discovered the mess created by my little Van Gogh, so I immediately grabbed him before he painted my house and headed for the bathroom to clean him up. I also assumed that Bubba wouild follow us. After wrestling with a very unhappy Van Gogh, I went to check on Patton. NO WHERE TO BE FOUND, but all I could hear was a faint screaming cry. My heart sank as I saw that the basement door was open! UGH!! Then I look outside and Patton had NOT fallen down our basement stairs, but on our 5 concrete stairs off our porch. Thank goodness for little sisters. I called Aunt Becca in a complete panic and she helped calm me. Then I called my "God-sent" of neighbors, Bob and Marilyn. Marilyn came over and helped mainly calm me down. I thought about taking pictures, but I didn't want people to really see how bad it was and think differently of me as a mother. It was difficult enough to give him a million and half kisses then to see it over and over again with pictures. :(
- Nurse Grandma Judy just happened to be coming over, so she also helped calm me and knew exactly what to do and what to say to help me feel better! I don't think I could have made it through the night without the loving support from my family and friends. As I write this a week later, Patton just has a few scrapes left on his head and a little one on his nose. PRAISE GOD that he didn't get more hurt!!!

After the accident on Monday, we decided to do a grocery run on Tuesday with Aunt Becca. Thank goodness for Crocs!! It was a down-pour when we decided to go...so with my trusty Crocs I had no trouble with wet shoes or tramping through the rain!

Wednesday we decided to just play it safe and stay at home. Mommy and crew just cuddled all night and wished that Daddy was here to play with us.

Thursday night my babysitter graciously agreed to keep the boys for a little bit longer, so that I could attempt to get caught up at school. It was so nice to have an extra 45 minutes at school and know that they were in safe hands with Kris! I brought out pizza and we had a good ole time just sitting back and chatting with Kris and her husband Brian! Thanks again Kris! When I came home, I parked in the garage and found that our neighbor harvested our honey for us. This meant that not only was there honey in our garage...but some left over bees as well. I knew they were around the door (as that was the only light they could attempt to follow), but I didn't predict that one would have his stinger ready for me to grab the handle and get stung. Yup! I got stung between my pointer and middle finger. Boy did it hurt!!!!

Friday I woke up to a red and swollen hand. I didn't think much of it, until multiple teachers made the comment that my hand looked rather red. Well it didn't get much better and I came home afterschool only to get ready for Pampered Chef Show at a friend's house. I wasn't feeling up to it and I think that God new I didn't need to do a PC show, because I had a message that said that everyone had canceled on my friend. Thanks GOD! We had a great night at home, but my hand was really hurting and turning into quite the club. I didn't have anyone to take the boys on Friday so that I could go get my sting checked out. So Marilyn came the rescue again on Saturday and watched the boys while I went to get my sting checked out.

The dr gave me a type of steroid and told me to take bendryl...needless to say I am a crazy tired woman with a much better thinner hand that I can actually move!!

Well now that I have written a book...I might need to get some sleep. We ended the week with a great weekend! The Church across the street had a parade (which I missed while going to the dr) and an auction on Saturday. Great Gma and Gpa took us out to a local dairy queen for supper, went to bed at 8:00 (all of us). Becca graciously took Kenner to the Omaha Zoo today, so that Patton and I could hang out, get my flat tire fixed and get our computer fixed. Yes that is why I haven't been blogging much or putting pictures, because our computer had a trojan virus on it and I don't want to download any pictures on our old machine!

Technology and how much rely on it! Signing off and sorry for the mass blog tonight!
Love you all!! I am so excited that I have reached 200 people checking out my site!!! This puts more stress on me updating!! I will try to be better when Casey returns in 06 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

95% done with house

I had my first party with friends over at our house on Friday night!! Both Casey and I worked our tails off to get our house to 95% done. I will hopefully get some pictures on the blog (as I will be staying home with a sick kiddo tomorrow). Thanks to all the friends that came over to hang!!!

Kenner has been throwing up today...not a fun thing to clean up. Kenner says, "Ick mommy, ick" after he throws up. Poor guy!

Casey left for NY today until the 29th of Sept. Thank goodness for great neighbors and grandmas and pas, aunts...or Mommy couldn't do it! I got to take a 3-4 hour nap today with Great Aunt Kendra and her boyfriend Trevor watching the boys. I don't remember the last time I got to nap that long!!! Boy was it nice...hence the reason I am blogging at 11:15 pm...I am not tired:) I will find the pillow soon.

Well I am headed to bed now...but if anyone has any urge to need any pampered chef items. I will be placing an order on Friday. There are many cool new items...so check out my website if you need any fun new things for your kitchen - www.pamperedchef.biz/letrhidoyourkitchen

Have a great week and maybe during nap time tomorrow I will get some pictures of the house.
